4 x 4 Off Road Driving cannot be rivalled for sheer excitement and white knuckled tension. It is also a great way to mould team spirit and develop individual skill.
We have off-road courses that are designed to train both recreational and commercial drivers. The recreational course will help the 4 x 4 owner get the most from his or her vehicle on those possibly rare occasions when there is no alternative to leaving the tarmac. The B.O.R.D.A Stage One and Two courses provide more advanced training for those who, either for pleasure or business, must drive frequently off-road. Details of both are below: |

Who is the course intended for?
Anyone requiring experience and knowledge of the basic factors of driving 4 x 4 vehicles in an off-road environment. Course objectives Trainees are taught: - to understand the main principles of driving off-road - to recognise a safe environment and typical ground conditions - to operate safely an off-road vehicle in varying conditions & situations, (e.g. slopes, ditches, ruts, etc.) Course content - Your 4 x 4 and how it works - Basic safety checks - Vehicle familiarisation - Hill procedures, (failed hill climb and safe descents) - Ruts and tram lining - Crossing ruts, ditches and mounds Certificates are available for course attendees. B.O.R.D.A Stage 1 Driver training course

B.O.R.D.A Stage 2 Driver training course Intended for professional drivers & those recreational drivers who wish to attain the highest standards Training for the work place, considerably more detailed than Stage 1 A common syllabus offered by B.O.R.D.A members covering Health & Safety and risk awareness Includes a formal assessment at the course end Course duration 2 full days (choice of consecutive days or 2 separate visits to allow practical experience between Stages 1 & 2) Course attendance maximum of 2 trainees per instructor Price: £420 per person, inc.
